Western New York Outdoor Sport & Travel Expo

The Chapter was invited to attend the 2004 WNY Outdoor Sport & Travel Expo by Gander Mtn. and set up a display in their exhibit area. The show ran from March 11-14 at the Hamburg Fairgrounds. Keith Lang, Ron Wagner, Hyde & Mary Hitchcock, John & Debbie Patrick and Dave Newton agreed to give up some of their time to man the display table. The show attracted a lot of outdoor enthusiasts and when it was over about 150 membership applications were handed out. Many people were also interested in the training classes being given by the Chapter at the Gander Mtn. store in Tonawanda. It was a lot of fun meeting with people who had no idea what a Dutch oven was, as well as people who have been using cast iron for years but had never heard of our Chapter. Dave Newton
