Well, here we are. The day after. I was so tired last night that I couldn't bring myself to sit down to the computer. We got there at 7:30 AM and left at around 8:00 PM. We started cooking at 10 AM and had to have our dessert ready for presentation and judging at 1:00. The Bread had to be ready at 2:30 and the Main Dish at 4:00. We were on time for all of them. Around 5:30 we all went to a hospitality room where they had all of the dishes laid out on tables and we were able to pig out on all of the dishes. There wasn't anything that wasn't really good.

Everyone here was so nice to us. We felt like we were with folks that we had known forever.

We finished # 8 out of 14 and feel real good about that. Almost all of the participants had been to the World Finals before and had the experience of the whole thing so to finish # 8 is wonderful.

We fixed Jalapeno Cheese and Pepper Bread, Orange Candy Cake, and Pork Roast with a Mustard Sauce and they came out pretty well.

Thanks to all of you who sent their support, I haven't had time to respond to your well wishes. It was fun! We both enjoyed it, and we mage a lot of new friends.

I am now a dealer for the Mair Lid LIfter so if anyone is looking for one you don't have to order one from a catalog, give me a call.

I love this hobby. Attached is a picture of Esther and I in our booth.
